Basic Requirements:AA degree, electronics school certification, or equivalent military training and experience.
2+ years of experience as a technician in SATCOM/Terrestrial environment with LAN/WAN industry standards, working knowledge of TCP/IP, and Ethernet configuration and functionality desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:Industry certifications are a plus (Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA, and ITIL).
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems desirable.
Flexible to work varying shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or a mixed) in a high stress environment.
Basic electronics troubleshooting skills desirable (ability to use and interpret readings from a range of test equipment including spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, protocol analyzer, power meter, Fiber test sets, etc.).
Knowledge of satellite technology and terrestrial technology (i.e. DSL, WIFI, Cable)
Experience with Cisco, HNS, CATV/IPTV and other Telco and IP protocol core network and equipment

Essential Qualifications:Candidate must be able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
Climb ladders to heights of up to 20 feet.
Work with hands and arms above their head for an extended period of time.
Carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
Be able to work repetitive tasks like installing/deinstalling cables/equipment.
Have the dexterity to terminate various types of cabling (i.e. CAT6/6A, coaxial cable, fiber cable) with precision.
Assume responsibility for escalation and emergency response requests in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment. Occasional work is required during maintenance windows, outside of normal working hours
